How to join two joined tables with a newly formed column in one of the tables

Two tables are linked with a specific column.Now I have introduced a new column in the first table and want to join the second table on basis of the new cloumn

Then in one of the two tables rename the field that's currently used to link the tables so the tables won't be joined on that field.

but this field is also used  joined with other tables ..when I rename them the other joins are destroyed

May be like: QUALIFY , RELOAD in a new RESIDENT table and UNQUALIFY the field.

Then rename it the one table that you want to link on the other field.

do i use a mapping function in this regard? IF u see the join is not evident even though the two tables are joined with a key SURVEY_ID:

Sorry, but to me nothing in your screenshot is evident other that you seem to have loaded some data. I have no idea how that data is related never mind how you want it to be related. Can you post a small qlikview document with some example data? Or at least a screenshot of the data model as shown in the Table Viewer.
