Hi All
I have insurance claims. I Put this claims into several categories according to size (A till I).
For this category I would like to calculated the loss ratio as sum(Claims)/sum(Total Premium).
Is it possible to make the Total only react to certain dimensions (such as the claims size), but not others? For example:
It should calculate sum(claims)/sum(total premium) only for the gross claims banding dimension, but it should regconize that the "total" is for the producing region (e.g. Russia and Hungary) but not the sample total (the numbers below take the sample total, not the individual country as the total).
ProducingRegions | Gross Claims Banding | Gross Claims | Gross Loss Ratio |
Russia | B: 0-100k | 2'819'687 | 0% |
Russia | C: 100-250k | 1'536'033 | 1% |
Russia | 😧 250-500k | 849'042 | 1% |
Russia | F: 1-2.5M | 10'280'698 | 10% |
Hungary | A: 0k | -52'718 | 0% |
Hungary | B: 0-100k | 5'377'401 | 5% |
Hungary | C: 100-250k | 1'991'284 | 2% |
Hungary | 😧 250-500k | 1'896'117 | 2% |
Hungary | E: 500-1M | 3'987'352 | 4% |
Hungary | F: 1-2.5M | 1'788'340 | 2% |
Hungary | G: 2.5-5M | 9'443'086 | 10% |
Hungary | H: 5-10M | 14'440'149 | 14% |
Hungary | I: 10-25M | 31'652'693 | 31% |
Total | 86'009'164 | 82% |
Many thanks for your help.
Best regards,
Jan
