Import Tabs/Sheets from different qvw file with personal edition

hi,

with the free personal edition I cannot open qvw files which were created by other people.

But is there a chance to export some objects in a file and then another user can import it on a  new qvw file.

Under settngs. Document properties -> Export structure I can export qvw Sheets and objects.

But is it possible for another user to import those information ?

Or is the only possible way to copy and paste loading script an create tabs an sheets and macros from scratch again ?

or what would be the best practice to publish a qvw application to other users ?

I would look at getting licences as it would be easier to publish or you will be looking at recreating.

AFAIK it's not possible to import the document layout or using prj-folder with the personal edition then it would be to subvert the intended limitations of the personal edition. Therefore you will need to creae everything from the scratch or considering to purchase a licence.

Hi Tobias,

Personal Edition is not designed for sharing/publishing apps to other unlicenced users.

Your options are to either purchase licences for QlikView, or look at Qlik Sense which does allow  you to share applications either by copying files to each user or by using the Qlik Sense Cloud.

Dear Tobias,

With QlikView Desktop edition, you can not open other documents. Therefore, you have no option to copy and paste objects from one dashboard to other dashboard.

However, you need to know that after getting license you will be able to copy and paste all of the objects and scripts from one dashboard to another. But you will not be able to copy complete sheet from one dashboard to another dashboard.
