Importing HTML data into QlikView

All,

There seem to be several times where data we need exists on a third party web site.  Our options in the past have been to manually export the data and save it somewhere that QlikView can get to it.  I have tried to use the HTML/Web Page functionality to get information but have been unsuccessful as of yet.  Does anyone have any information on either how to get the HTML import functionality or a good way to automate our data collection?

Hello there,

You can go to the script editor, at bottom-right click on "Web Files". Copy-Paste the web link on the "Internet File" space.

Click next, select through the tables - and there could be multiple tables normally named this way @1, @2 and so on...

Select the table which you want and

Then hit finish. Reload to get in the data and work with it.

Hope this helps,

I have attached an example,

Browse :

http://ucatlas.ucsc.edu/metadata/metadata.html

copy the link and do as above.

Bikash
