Incremental or full load

Hi All,

Am a newbie to qlikview. I have one doubt in QVD's. For Eg: if i have one QVD with 1000 records already loaded. And tomorrow if i load the QVD again from the same source and in the source some values were updated but still the records are 1000 only. Then if i load QVD again will it get a new data or the same old data persists? For loading new data we need to follow any approach if its the case?

Thanks in advance.

The qvd is created by some reload script.

If data is new or updated, and you store the results in the same qvd, all old data is overwritten.

If you need an incremental reload instead, check out the attached example.

Hi,

Check Incremental Load concept in Qlikview Help file (F1), it has detailed description of various scenarios.

Jagan.
