Is it mandatory to renew the Maintenance Contract(AMC) for Qlikview

Hi Friend/Expert,

Is it mandatory to renew the AMC for Qlikview?.

My view of AMC renew means to get the following facility as follows:-

1. To have Qlikview support.

2. To have upgrade version of Qlikview.

So, If I don't renew the AMC for Qlikview. It mean's that I will not get all above mentioned facilities.

But, it doesn't mean that the license which I already had that will get forfeited.

If I am wrong then correct me and provide me the information related to AMC of Qlikview.

Hi,

If you don´t renew the AMC, you will haven´t support and upgrades, but your Qlikview Server, that is in your own infrastructure, will work with it´s current version.

What about all those Qlikview License's which is there with me. Whether it will be continue to work or it will be forfeited(stop to work).

It will work. As already Jose mentioned, you only lose support and upgrades from qlik. However, with such dynamic world of BI, not renewing the contract would not be a very wise proposition I guess. For more info and understanding contact your account manager/licensing partner.

All the Licenses will be with you but it will be not possible to add more licenses without renew the QV Support and pay for the years that you was without it.

This decision is more about your future use of Qlikview. I was in a small company and they don´t renewed the support from the second year because it was enought with the current amount of licenses and the dashboards were small apps without changes (support was not necessary) and later I was in a bigger company with lots of licenses and dashboards were the support was necessary and buy new licenses too.

It´s up to you to renew or not, the server will continue working.
