Is this possible?

I have a filter with values of Yes/No based on a value in a field.  I also have a search box.  The value of the filter defaults to Yes.  If someone uses the search box and picks a member that actually has a value of No the filter does not change.  So the user might think they are a Yes when in fact they are a no.

Is it possible to have the filter change based on the value picked from the search box?

I hope this question makes sense.

Yes it is possible and that is how it should work, based on your data model, if someone picked a person with a value of NO, Yes should be in white (available based on selected data) and No (not available for selected data) would be in grey

can you post your application or another application with this issue?

Is the filter always selected "Yes" value ? If yes, lock the field and it does not change the value to "No".

Hi Mark,

In the search box, properties, presentation tab try unticking 'Include Excluded' if you don't want users to select a 'No' person.

I think I left out a really important part.  We are not using the listboxes in the standard way.  If we were then I don't think I would even have this question.

We have created filter boxes with arrows that determine the display.  If the user has not picked a value for the filter then it displays ALL.

So in order to accomplish what I want I think I need to code a complex expression to handle all possible situations.  I don't really want to do this or think that this is a good option.  So I am going to table this for now until I can discuss further with my client.
