Link Publisher on Server 2 with Qlikview Server on Server 1

I am doing a fresh install. Installing Qlikview Server, QMC and Web Server on one server and Publisher on another server.

I have successfully installed full installation on Server 1.

I have successfully installed Publisher on Server 2.

Now, I am not sure how to link publisher on server 2 with Qlikview Server on Server 1?

I have searched various posts, did not find the specific answer to this question.

Hi Mayuran,

on your QMC switch to System/Setup => Distribution Services
Here you are able to change the Url from your distribution service, in your case the publisher, to Server 2.

Basically this should be it, if I didn't forget anything

My bad I forgot:
Did you already add the license for QlikView and the Publisher?

I applied for Qlikview server but not for publisher. Now I applied and can see it. Thanks. Will change the url and see if this works.

Here are the steps to install Qlikview Server, Web Server, QMC on one Server and Publisher on another.

1. Full Qlikview installation on Server 1 (All components including Publisher)

2. Custom installation of publisher only on Server 2

3. Apply Qlikview Server License and Publisher License on Server 1 QMC

4. In Server 1 QMC, go to System - Setup - Distribution Services

5. Change the URL to point to the publisher in the new server

6. Apply

7. A message will pop up to say - manually stop distribution service on server 1 and restart the distribution service on server 2

8. Once you done the above, it will work fine.
