Mail Alerting doesnt work

Hello,

I tried to install an Email Alerting for Failed Tasks recently. So I set up the Mail Server Details in System -> Setup -> Mail Server. I restarted QlikView Server (Distribution + Directory Services).

Result:

1. Test Email works fine

2. Automatic Emails, after a Task fails doesnt work: Prompting following Error:

Information: Sending Alert mail

Warning: Failed to send mail to XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

How can I fix this? What is the difference between a Test and a Automated Email?

Hi, in QMC ->setup -> Qlikview server -> alerts you have to set the address where the aletrs will be sent.
Is this the same address as the test address?

Test email is send by management service, while task mail is sent by distribution service.

This happened to me once and I did what this article says:
https://support.qlik.com/articles/000016485

In particular this step:
change the QVDistributionService.exe.config that is located at C:\Program Files\QlikView\Distribution Service. You will need to change <add key="UseSSLForSMTP" value="false"/> from false to true.
