Modify linked server objects properties

A fellow user created a chart object, and shared the object with me. I created a link to this object, and dragged it to a sheet on my dashboard. On the Chart Properties for this object, I am unable to modify the normal/minimized position. This position differs from that of the original object created by the other user. The minimized position is way off to the top left hand side of the side, and my linked object effectively disappears when minimized. My understanding was that the position was one of the few attributes that could be changed on the link. (Am using QlikView 11.)

Any ideas? Thanks!

Something I learnt just now -

the positioning of the object from properties applies only to the master object. Even, if I can create a link-copy of an object I created - if I edit the position - the original object is shifting but not the LINK.

the only way to move a LINK object is physically dragging it to the desired position.

Did you try updating the "location" of the object when minimized from the object properties?

In plugin version - you can find it on the Caption tab.

for Ajax version, in the "Options" tab.

Thanks for the reply, Rakesh. That's the problem, I can see the left/top/width/height (under Options, More), but am not allowed to change these values.
