Qlikview Server and Desktop 11.2 SR12 (will be QV12 eventually, but shouldn't affect this particular inquiry), NPrinting 16, Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise
Hi All, I've been directed to move all the QV and NP stuff from drive C: to drive 😧 within the same machine now, in advance of a migration to a new machine inside our new company's network later. Their practice is to have only windows files on C: and 'everything else' on drive D:. So, here are steps I know offhand - feel free to modify or provide a clean list of steps in your reply. Thanks!
1> Copy/paste the QlikTech, Qlikview, and NPrinting folders from C:\ProgramData\ and C:\Program Files\ to D:\ProgramData\ and D:\Program Files\
2> Update Qlikview document scripts from C:\... to D:\... where explicit paths were used.
3> Update NPrinting nsqs' Source Connections to point at the qvws on D:\ instead of C:\
4> In Qlikview Management Console, under System, I see some C:\ file paths in various places to update to D:\ file paths
5> In NPrinting Server, likely a C:\ to change to a D:\ (that's a different credential with admin rights I had access to temporarily long ago)
-I think I need to stop the nprinting service while making np changes, then apply changes and restart the nprinting service
Anything missing, or dangerous in any of that? Is it necessary to do an uninstall/reinstall over the weekend vs all the copy/paste stuff?
Thanks!
-Steve
PS> I tried browsing places to see where would be good to post this, and that menu was acting oddly, so I stuck with new to qlikview here even though I'm not really new. I'm new to this particular activity.
