Percent of total in a table

Hello

I wounder if some one have the time to help me. This must be really easy and I'm surprised that I haven't run in to the problem before.

I want to present percent of a total in a table

Example data:

Volvo

Volvo

Volvo

Volvo

Volvo

Ford

Ford

Audi

Audi

Audi

I want to present data this way

Number of cars / Percent of total

Volvo               5                         50%

Ford                 2                         20%

Audi                 3                         30%

Number of cars is easy -------------- Count(cars)

But when I want to present percent - "count(cars)" will never show to total of 10 cars. It only counts the cars of each brand (5 volvo). How do I get 5/10 = 50% for volvo for example?

Hope you understand my problem and I'm sorry asking such a trivial question

Use a copy of same expression and enable the option Relative for that expression. Then format it as a percentage on the Number tab.

talk is cheap, supply exceeds demand

Hi!

You can also use Count(cars) / Count(TOTAL cars)
