Performance diffenence PC and server

Hello everybody,

I have little performance-problems with a server.

There is one qlikview-report and a different amount of database.

At my PC with an 8 Core i7 the processor load is very often on

the maximun when loading the script. While the same report

working on an Xeon-Server with 16 cores uses only maximum

of 20% of one core.

Does anyone has a tip for me how to solve the problem?

Or is the problem that Qlikview is not optimized for working

with Xeon?

Thank You!

Are you experiencing slow performance on the server? Or are you just worried about the low cpu workload? Perhaps your server is far more efficient at executing the qlikview tasks then your pc.

I really expect a stronger utilization. On the server are indeed more data, but the average should have run a little faster than on my computer. Also available on the server more memory available, which is less used, than on my computer.

Hmm, let's try that again:

Are you experiencing slow performance on the server?

There are lots of things to check on the server setup, such as to make sure your using 64bit QlikView and 64bit database drivers where possible, network connections etc.
