Physical to Virtual server

Hello Experts,

I have a client, who has their physical data centers/servers located in three countries.

They have servers in five stages (Sandboxes, Development, SIT, UAT, Production). Now they are planning to migrate to virtual  Qlikview servers. It's a huge implementation as planned RAM space runs into 15+ TeraBytes.

I would like to know what are the steps do i need to follow to estimate and plan the steps needed to migrate their physical servers to virtual servers. And what kind of questions do i need to ask to my clients.

I would really appreciate your answers and comments on this.

Do you mean virtual in the sense, they are migrating to Citrix? kind of environment...

As per my knowledge you have to ask your stakeholders some questions regarding how to backup and restore from one environment to another, and how frequently data should be refreshed, No. of concurrent users in UAT and Prod... blah. blah..
