Please help with the new functionality of QlikView 11

Hi Everyone,

I am very new to QlikView. I have performed all the tutorial exercises that were there in the Tutorial pdf that gets downloaded with the personal edition and I have also gone thru the QlikView 11 for Developers book. Now I am trying to create a Dashboard on my own. However, I am not able to find the ways of reflecting some of the new functionality that we get in QV 11. They are :

1) When you hover the mouse over a particular metric (expression) in the chart, a bubble appears showing the exact definition.

2) Granular Chart Dimension Control.

I would really appreciate if someone could please explain the exact steps to use these new features

Hi,

I would suggest that you download the qlikview sample application from the qlik.com website. You will find data visualization and what's new in qv11.qvw, these apps can really help you.

Go through the Reference manual and some samples qvw available at Qliktech

It's from the "What's new in QV 11" that I learnt about the new functionalities. But I did not understand how exactly to apply these in QVWs. I am not able to figure out exatly what selections in properties / what syntax in script will help me reflect the metadata in the table.
