Problem with setting date variables using a button

Hi All,

I'm trying to use a button to set some date variables which are displayed in two calendar controls.

Unfortunately I either get:

1) The date (e.g. today()) being displayed in the calendar controls but the variable value

being set to 30/12/1899

2) No dates are displayed in the calendar controls but the variables are correctly set by the button actions.

Please can you take a look at the attached example qvw

Many Thanks for your help.

Dave.

Problem with setting date variables using a button

add quotes around the variable to display correctly   '$(vDatefrom)' displays 05/10/2011  without it seems to be seeing it as a divison

Thanks, its worked. Strange how it interprets the dates without the quotes.

That was because originally it was doing 5 divided by 10 devided by 2011, then formatting the result as a date. the quotes tell it that it is a text string and not a formula
