Qlik connection to oracle database

Hello

I am trying to connect to oracle database with my qlikview 11 desktop version.

The odbc was tested with SQL plus and I am able to access the database.

But when i try to reload the script in Qlikview, i get " null password given, logon denied" error.

The odbc connection statement is in a separate txt file and is loaded to the script.

What could possibley be the reason when the odbc connection is succesful through odbc administrator and SQl developer, but fails in Qlikview 11?

Thanks

Aravind

Hi

Did you Key in the User ID and Password when you try to connect in Qlikview.

Data Tab -> ODBC -> Connect -> Connect to Data Source, Select the Data Source and provide the details.

Hello

The issue was with the ciphered user name and password.

The connection string had original username and password value, but had the X symbol before " Username" and "Password", which i guess means the credentials are ciphered.
