Qlikview 12 - Refresh on open option

Hi Everyone,

We have QV 12 enterprise version. I have a requirement in which when ever a user open access point url , then that dashboard should get refresh automatically and will show latest data.

I checked various threads for reload on open but in everywhere it is suggested to create Macro like below:

1. Sub ReloadOnOpen 
2.      ActiveDocument.Reload 
3. End Sub 

Kindly suggest is there any other option.

One approach would be that there is a server-task which checked respectively update every x minutes if there are new/changed data and reload these application.

Another thought is the use of Using EDX in QlikView 11 - basic example.
