Qlikview Distribution Service not starting

Hi All,

Qlikview Distribution service was unable to start and is failing with following error:

"Windows could not start the Qlikview Distribution Service on Local Computer." Error 1067:The Process terminated unexpectedly."

Before this error , disk space was full and then cleared space and i tried to restart with no success.

Appreciate your help on this.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks,

Ryan

Have you tried to stop all services and then restart them again?

Is all services installed at same server?

In folder C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\DistributionService\1\Log, you'll find log files that are called Root_YYYYMMDD.txt. Open the most recent one and check for any additional messages that document the issue. Or post that log file in this discussion for us to investigate.

Just kill the process on the task manager, clean the disk as mentioned, then start the service again.

Try to investigate in Windows Event Viewer for more error logs

Hello All,

Thank you for all your replies.

I tried all possible options

Restarting services, through Cmd prompt too, Component securities,Disk space freed, no details in log file or Event Viewer.

Lastly, have renamed Distribution Service folder name, service got started by creating new folder automatically.

Thanks again.

Ryan.

Thanks.

Hello Aiolos,

Sorry for late reply,

Have created new "DistributionService" folder which holds all Tasks information and XML files(WorkOrder) by renaming old one to some duplicatename "DistributionService_1), then services were restarted.

Thanks,

Ryan

Good day. When this problem occurs, I go to the Windows task manager, finish the QVDistributionService process. After starting the service QlikView DistributionService
