Qlikview does nto connect to DB where connection name has '.' as separator

Hi,

I have trouble connecting to DB where connection name is a.b.c

but Qlikview connects smoothly if the connection name is a_b_c

Please advise.

Can you Post the full statement which you are using for DB Connection?

Generally we do with Square Bracket. Like  [a.b.c]

The problem is Qlikview does not recognize the full name of the DB itself to make a connection.

if the DB name is a.b.c then ODBC Connect to Data Source screen only shows a  - so basically it omits anything after the dot

I copy pasted the name in the dialog box wherein we make connections, even if it was not being recognized in the dialog box.
And it works!!!
