Dear Experts,
Am using Qlikview 11.2 SR2, am unable to open .qvw file "fail to load", tried to change Rescue options & launching through command prompt with no data load, when tried through command prompt, QV page opened with same warning message again "Failed to Load". Any other suggestion here how to recover here. Thanks in advance.
Regards, Ryan
Hi,
Is it personal edition or license is leased from server?
Have you tried to open from folder or qlikview desktop?
By any chance changed folder?
Do you have any backups?
If you are not using source control, that would be a logical next step. It is a life saver for exactly this situation. We use Tortoise SVN and it is free. When I have had your error message, my only recourse has been to revert back to a previous version that I have saved. Backup early and often is a good rule of thumb.
Hi Neetha,
Thanks for your reply,
License leased from server.
Tried both ways, but same error, no folder change,
our bad, we missed backups.
Please help any way is it still possible to restore.
Regards,
Ryan

Hi,
Have you tried ApplicationRescue Follow the steps:
1) Open your Corrupted QlikView Application.
2) Next Click on Help Option.
3) A List appears, Select About QlikView.
4) A Dialog Box Opens up, see on the Extreme Left Hand Side (Bottom) you'll find a Qlikview Logo.
5) Right Click on the Qlikview Logo, a Settings Window displays.
6) Scroll downwards the List & Select "ApplicationRescue".
7) Set the Value '1' in place of '0' in the 'Value' input Box Below.
😎 Finally, Click on Set Button.,
Once followed all these steps, Close your Corrupted Application and again open it. Check if it works.
Check for RAM Usage,Kill application like qvs.exe in taskmanager
Still an issue Restart services.
Hi Neetha,
Thanks for your reply,
O tried "Application Rescue", its throwing same error.
Restarted services too, but same error message.
Please suggest any other way to recover here.
Thanks in advance.

Ryan
i know this is not the answer you want, but I think you are going to have to write off that qvw to experience and create a new one.
The 3 B's of IT are very important: Backup, Backup & Backup.
Hi Bill,
Thanks for your reply,
We missed backup here.
but still trying, if there is any way to recover.

Ryan.
From reading the posts in this and your other thread, you have tried all possible options and they have failed.
