Hi,
I have a requirement for scheduling a task based on the arrival of a file which is generated based on the completion of ETL jobs.
I have seen that there is an option for getting this done through EDX Triggers, I have gone through few documents.
But, there are a few things which seems to be unanswered. Please help me get this right.
- 1. where should we mention the path of the text file to be pinged?
- 2. Where to place the batch file?
- 3. Where can we set the time limit on the frequency of pinging the text file and specify the deletion of the file after the task is triggered?
- 4. what needs to be installed?Where should the files be placed?
- 5. Will it work on both server and publisher?
Also,please let me know incase the task triggering can be done based on the presence of a file by pinging that location through any other alternate method
