How to give a rank on expression without considering any diamensions in straight table?
no affect of diamension on rank function

The rank of something outside the context of a dimension will always be 1.
What is the expression you are using?
And what do you expect to get when using a rank?

m using three dimension...(city,place,name)one calculated expresion...(sum(score))and i want rank on sum(score) but without considering dimensions...but the dimension should be there in staright table..

Ok, but what do you expect to see then? A rank based on what differentiation, if not considering the dimensions?
As Gysbert said, you will get a constant rank for all lines, so what's the benefit of ranking then?

=Rank(TOTAL sum(Score))
Try =rank(sum(score),1)

and main thing is that i want to use this cocept in adhoc report..
so diamension selection may random..some time 1 diamension selected and some time 3 or 2 also...
