This is to hide unnecessary objects like line, arrow, button, text. Users are only interested to use list boxes and chart objects etc. Other objects confuse users. That's why..
I don't think that there is another way as with an extension which might be more detailed and adjustable then the above mentioned one - maybe bmz could give a hint if and how it might be possible.
