Send to excel

Hello,

I would like to track who and what is exporting to excel from QV.

Is there a possibility to identify what data elements are taking from Qlikview into Excel on Excel exports.

Can anyone help me with this ?

you don't find the details in QMC but in a file

the details are in the file (split by month, replace ......... with year and month)

audit.......log

in the folder specified in LogFolder in the image you posted

C:\programdata\qliktech\qlikviewserver

If the access to the application is per access point you could try it with the extend audit-logging (QMC/System/Server/Logging to enable) which logged who activated and selects which objects and data. But I don't know if actions like exporting or printing also be logged. If this don't worked for you you could try to implement own logics with document extensions or macros but this wouldn't be easy and makes the application more complicated and adds some overhead which will need performance (the above mentioned audit-logging costs performance, too).

yes, in the file audit......log of the server  you can find these information

Server StartedTimestampDocumentTypeUserMessage

where Type is SendToExcel

I have a medium log verbosity

Enable Audit Logging checked

Enable Extensive Audit Logging unchecked

Hi,
Thank you for replay.
I don't see all those details in my QMC.

Also I was thinking about this below option

All this options are fine but I need to know who and what is exporting to excel.
Do you have any solution ?
