I am trying to send email alerts to users when their Sales are low (I have this condition in Alerts) . Under User Preference > Mail, what exactly should I input for Sender name and Address? Also, what should I select for Authentication Method and UserId - Password? Should I user Service account User ID password?
For testing purpose, I tried using my admin account Email ID and password but it gave me attached error.
You may need to reach out to your email server team to get the correct settings in order to be able to connect to things successfully and to be sure it will be allowed etc. Some companies have things locked down pretty tightly, so there may be some extra things that need to be done on their side to allow things to work.
