Set Analysis

Hi,

can someone please explain the below expression. I got this expression from Qlikview demo apps.

Sum({<Year={$(=Max(Year)), $(=Max(Year)-1)}, Region={'NORDIC'} >}  Sales / $(vCurrency))

Regards,

Viresh

It shows the sum of Sales of the max year selected and the previous year of the region NORDIC, the result is divided for the variable vCurrency, wich I suppose contains the exchange rate for the currency selected.

In example, if you select year 2014, it show the sales for years 2014 and 2013.

This is giving you sales of NORDIC region for current year and previous year which is further divided by Currency variable to convert it into respective currency

Dear Viresh,

Your Set analysis interpretation is given below,

Return Sum of Sales divided by currency where Year is equal to Maximum Year as well as Last Year and region must be NORDIC.

I'm attaching beginner guide with this email as you can easily understand, read and write your own set analysis according to your project requirements.

Kind regards,
