Sorting of available fields

Hi all,

I loaded table files (spreadsheet) to qlikview. In the spreadsheet, the fields are aranged as follows (from left to right):

Month

ID

Level

However when I create an object e.g. tablebox in qlikview, the available fields are sorted as follows:

ID

Level

Month

Apparently it is alphabetically.

Is there a way to make qlikview sort according to how it is arranged in the data source?

Thanks

Hi patsys50,

Simply you go to sort option & check the "Load Order" check box and choose original option from drop down box.Uncheck all other check box.

Obviouly you can promote and demote the fields in any Object.

Hi patsys50,

you can check the 'Load Order' as 'Original' and unchecked all other of other sort priorities.

Hope it will help you.

Cheers

Hi guys,

Thank you for your replies. Unfrotunately I was not very clear on my original post so I will elaborate.

The fields that I want sorted are the ones in the AVAILABLE FIELDS list, not in the FIELDS DISPLAYED IN TABLEBOX.

Please see below:

Sort Available Fields.JPG

The reason for asking about this is that in my actual data, my table file (spreadsheet) has 120 column fields arranged intuitively from left ot right. Normally the fields located to the left are the more important ones. This should help me in identifiying which fields to add to the sheet object (e.g. table box).

By default, qlikview arranges them alphabetically and it is quite confusing especially that some of the fields have similarity in the names.

Yes I did and like I said in my last post, I want it sorted while in the AVAILABLE FIELDS box , not when they are already in the FIELDS DISPLAYED IN TABLEBOX.
