Staging in Qlikview

I am new to qlikview any one help me on What is staging in qlikview and How to use and done staging in qlikview any one provide mannual or any other thing about this.

Staging is usually mentioned when discussing an intermediary layer between a source system and a data warehouse or data mart.

In QlikView terms I guess it could be a QVD layer, and an application (or several) doing some ETL on the data, applying business rules etc. that will then be loaded into the finished QVW files for the users.

Thanks for reply is there any mannual for this or can you provide any staging daigarm or a hierarchy diagram for this.
