Sum expressions

hi,

I have calculate  sum of data. Some values are same so i cannot use DISTINCT as well. If I use sum(field) , it is not displaying the correct data. please help me with the expressions.

Consider these 3 field values.

35.40, 35.79 & 35.79

I have to take the sum . If i use sum(filed), it is not matching with the actual sum ( ie., . 106.98). I am getting 14777 as the sum .

If i use sum(DISTINCT(field)), all 3 values will not be taken becoz 2 values are similar.

try using sum(TOTAL <field>).

if sum the above three Values it will give you 106.98.

but why your getting 14777 i don't no..

It is problem in data model. Post ur QVW. Then it helps me to resolve ur issue.
