Unable to start QlikView Desktop after installing on Windows 8.1 pro

Hello All,

Im QlikView newbie, installed on Win 8.1 pro, after installing QlikView Desktop I dont see any QlikView icon on desktop. Even checked Program Files for installed softwares, in that i can see QlickView folder but I did not find any executable file. How to run QlikView ?

Sorry this could be a trivial question but I googled extensively to troubleshoot the problem, but could not find any pointers for this problem.

Which installer did you use?

you could have downloaded the wrong version, if you are using windows 8, you need to download the installer for windows 8.

Might be you could have downloaded wrong version of installable. Download windows 8 compatible version, it will work.

Im using QlikViewDesktop_Win8andUp.exe for installation.

One more important info .. Im installing QlikView on a Windows 8.1 pro installed virtually on macbook using VMWare Fusion.

Is there any problem with virtualization deployments ?
