Using the OR function in Qlikview

Hi,

I need to know how can retrieve the data using the OR functionality.

For. e.g:

SUM ({$<Sales1={'Yes'} > }nrCo) OR SUM ({$<Sales2={'Yes'} > }nrCo) OR SUM ({$<Sales3={'Yes'} > }nrCo)

I need to retrieve the data using the OR condition. Summing all this three values gives me a different result.

Is there any way I can achieve the same?

Its kind of urgent, but any help on this will be highly appreciated.

Regards,

Prathamesh Sable

Thanks Rajat,

I was able to solve it using the subset & "+" func.

However, I am not able to increase the size of the name (It should display the full name) in the cyclic drill down. As you see its currently displaying only half of the name.

Any suggestion on this , as I am new to Qlikview.

Click on the chart and press "Ctrl+Shift" and hold it, several red boxes will appear. One of the box will be containing this group also. Holding Ctrl+Shift, drag the border of box and resize it, you will get what you want.

Hi,

Click on the chart and hold Ctrl + Shift keys, then you can see the resizable objects (Legend, Header, Chart etc) with Red border, now increase or decrease or move the objects in the chart.

Hope this helps you.

Regards,

Jagan.

Rajat/ Jagan-

I tried that but no success as it will not allow me to resize the dimension text. However, later on I figured out that it was due to the chart size, I mean the chart was small hence the problem. Thanks a lot for assisting me on this. Its a great help!

Hi Prathamesh,

I have the same question as you regarding the OR function.

You write that you were able to solve it using the subset & "+" func. Could you please explain what you mean by that. I don't really understand.

Hi Inas,

Use the subset function where you need to use the OR function.

In the below e.g.

It will give me the sum where the Sales 1 or Sales 2 or Sales 3 is Yes.

SUM ({<Sales1={'Yes'}>+<Sales2={'Yes'}>+<Sales3={'Yes'}>} NrAccounts)
