Hi Brown,

Partial load is used whenever you just want to add some new data without reloading all the other tables. Suppose in your Qlikview file you have 10 tables which has millions of records, if you want one new table then you need to add the script if you give normal reload (ctrl+R) it will reload all the 10 tables and the new table.  Suppose if you don't want to reload the old 10 tables and just want to add new table then Partial Reload (ctrl+shift+R) would be helpful. Please see the below link for more information and examples.

Resident load is used whenever you want to load data from an already loaded table by performing some calculation or transformation. It is a highly recommended feature because we can perform a calculation using an already existing column or table. Please see below link for more information and examples.

Hope you got the difference between the two loads.

Thanks,
