Window Authentication

Hi,

If your Server is running a Small Business Edition you cannot. All users must exist in a Windows Active Directory. If your server runs the Enterprise Edition, you can use DMS, that means that you can create a Custom Directory hardcoding each of the users you want to assign licenses. Anonymous users are not allowed.

If that suits you, you can change the way you authenticate in the Server, going to the QEMC, System, Setup, QlikView Web Server, Authentication, Login Address, Alternate Login Page (web form) so each time you get to the Accesspoint, it will show a very simple form asking for user and password, instead of being prompted.

Is that what you mean?

Window Authentication

Hi,

One one hand, userid and password are section access fields, nothing to do with the Windows Authentication. On the other, you can set up your browser to automatic logon using your existing credentials in Internet explorer, going to Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, Security tab, click on the Local Internet sites, click on the Custom Level button, and mark Automatic Log-on with current username and password.

If you mean you want to log on automatically in your section access protected documents, use field NTNAME instead as in here, using the DOMAIN\USERNAME form and not using the password, because the authentication will take place against the Active Directory in your network.

Hope that helps.
