I know this thread is old, but I assume people keep looking for books, so let me add my two cents here...
- My favorite beginners book is "QlikView 11 for Developers" by Barry Harmsen and Mike Garcia.
- My favorite advanced book is "Mastering QlikView" by Stephen Redmond.
- My favorite book that starts at the basic level and takes you all the way into the most advanced material, is my own book "QlikView Your Business", which was published in full color by Wiley in August 2015. It offers 3 realistic tutorials that cover QlikView at the Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced levels. It also offers an introduction into Qlik Sense.
