date selection

Hi everyone,

i have an issue with a date selection.

i have this static dimension expresion in a graph:

=if(DEALS.end_date > '07/03/2012',DEALS.deal_id)

What i need is replace the static date value for samething more dinamic. I tried to create a button but i couldn't

Thanks for any advice

Gerardo

If you add single quotes to your calculated dimension conditional, the end_date in the table should be limited to the entered date in the input box:

=if(DEALS.end_date='$(vFecha)',DEALS.deal_id)

You could also use other comparison operators, like

=if(DEALS.end_date > '$(vFecha)',DEALS.deal_id)

Thanks Swuehl!

i tried to do samething like this:

=if(DEALS.end_date > vFecha,DEALS.deal_id), but i was wrong in an expression.

In the .qvw file i tried to create a buttom with this expresion:

='=match(DEALS.end_date,$(vFecha))' but not found. What im doing wrong in the syntax.

thanks one more time.....

Try this as search string in your button action:

='=DEALS.end_date='&chr(39)&'$(vFecha)'&chr(39)
