exporting from qlikview developer

Hello-

I have a very large data set that I previously exported to excel - no problems - slightly slow but worked just fine.

Today, I'm trying to export the exact same dataset - haven't even reloaded - and Qlikivew just hangs up and never exports.

Any ideas on why it suddenly isn't working correctly?

Thanks!!

Check If any other processes are running simultaneously.

Hi, Krishna -

There are processes running but none of them look unusual...

Anything in particular I should be looking for?  I actually got a RAM expansion that was helping it run faster before today...

When you add more RAM?

Did you increase your swap area?

Hi There-

How big is the Data and what is the size of the RAM?

CSV files are always faster to read.. see whether you can convert your excel to csv

I'm only exporting about 10,000 rows at a time. And it was working beautifully just a few days ago.

If you have the file open in Excel - Excel will always lock the file preventing other programs from overwriting it. So could that be the case for you?

Unfortunately not.
