exporting from qlikview developer

Hello-

I have a very large data set that I previously exported to excel - no problems - slightly slow but worked just fine.

Today, I'm trying to export the exact same dataset - haven't even reloaded - and Qlikivew just hangs up and never exports.

Any ideas on why it suddenly isn't working correctly?

Thanks!!

QlikView can struggle with very large tables and sending them out to a file.  There is no quick way around it, all of the data needs to be written to disk.

Using a STORE statement in the load script is more robust, but this is dependent on you not needing to make ad-hoc selections and being able to do all calculations in the load script.

This post gives some more pointers on using STORE:

Hope that helps,

Steve

Steve- This is a great workaround for me.  I can't find the "Mark as correct answer button" anymore for some reason....but you rock!!! Thanks!!

Hi Camilla.  Glad the solution works for you.  That's odd about the "Mark as Correct" button - but I'll take a "you rock" instead.
