restricting fields shown on current selections object

hi guys,

how can i make a current selections object specific to a sheet or a few sheets but not all sheets?

for e.g., a selection of a field in sheet3 is only affecting charts or meaningful in sheet3 and not sheet1 and sheet2. however, another field such as year is meaningful throughout the sheets so it will still show on the current selections object no matter which sheet you selected it at.

Hi, As far as i know current selection object dont have the feature which you are looking for.

Axon, you could build your own current selections object using a Text Object and the GetCurrentSelections() function and parse through the resulting string to look for fieldnames and values afterwards before the next fieldname etc. Time consuming and resource expensive string handling.. so possible yes, useful, maybe not.
