server logs

   Hi All,

I'm a little confused with the timestamps in Session, audit, event, performance logs.. Please help me understand the same. In QV server reference manual it says:

Session Logs:

Timestamp ------> Date and Time when log entry was created

Document Timestamp ------> File timestamp of document accessed

Session Start ------> Time when session was started

What is the difference b/w Document Timestamp & Session Start?

What combination of fields can i use as a key to link session logs with Audit logs?

Is there a way i can link session/ audit logs with publisher logs?

thanks for your help in advance.

There are alredy tools for it - have a look here: Governance Materials.zip or QlikView Governance Dashboard 1.0.

Hi Marcus,

I have looked into governance and system monitor dashboard, it gave me good information,

but I don't want to show all the information that are being showcased.

In my org, there are many departments and under each department there are many users,

the manager of these departments should see only info such as,

--> what all documents the user has accessed to,

-- > when did the user login ,

--> what all activity the user did on the dashboard before he logged out.

Then you could create your own application take only some parts from the tools or you could customize one of these tools for your needs. Therefore the easiest way is to remove or to hide the not wanted loads/tables/sheets/objects.
