user unable to access dashboard

Hi,

I have few dashboards in my qmc and although document CAL is assigned to aparticular user, he is unable to view the dashboards in his acces spoint. Also, please note that 'allow dyanmic CAL' option is checked in all these documents. Is this the issue ?

If I just uncheck it, will the issue be resolved or do i need to distribute that dashboard again for the user to view them ?

Thanks in advance

Hi Nayana, what Miguel tries to point out is that it may not be license related.

Someone can have the correct license applied, but still no access.

If your server is operating in NTFS mode you need to check the Windows permissions on the QlikView file.

If your server is operating in DMS mode you need to authorize the users for the document on the authorization tab. That is separate from allocating document CALs.

What is the exact error message?

Does the user have permissions on the file system (NTFS)?

What authorization method are you using in the QMC?

No error message, he is login to access point and not able to view few dashboards there.

I have provided document CAL to him for these documents.

If he is able to login to accesspoint and not see documents he doesn't have any assigned to him. The CAL will not come into play till he tries to open one. You need to check the NTFS permission on the QVW you want him to have access to and make sure his user has rights to the file.

You have a NTFS issue. You have to check NTFS privileges.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Also, forgot to mention that he was able to access the dashboards earlier from a different network.

Also, the qmc has NTFS authorization (Windows controls file access).
