Video Transcript:

Hi and Welcome to Qlik Fix
This video aims at correlating some key information generated in the QlikView Governance Dashboard and Qlik Sense Monitoring Apps, as well as reviewing at high level how they are configured.
The Governance Dashboard is a single QlikView Document that is loaded with configuration and metadata from the QlikView Server and Publisher server in order to provide administrators with QlikView deployment visibility.
Qlik Sense also has officially supported Monitoring Apps that are loaded with the same type of data to provide this type of information to administrators.
The apps are included with the Qlik Sense installation and can be imported via QMC from this location. Note that Operations and License monitor apps are installed by default.
In QlikView as well as in Qlik Sense, the configuration of these Apps consists of making sure the data source locations are correctly stated.
In QlikView this configuration is performed in the Governance Dashboard document itself, while in Qlik Sense it consists of making sure the Data connections used by the app are configured properly.
This configuration can be specific to whether there are multiple Qlik Sense nodes, and whether Centralized logging is to be used as a data source. Please see more information on how to configure the Data Connections in Qlik's Knowledge Base and Help site.
An example of data generated by both Governance Dashboard and Monitoring Apps, is App usage and Sessions.
Equivalent data can be found in the Operations Monitor App under the Session Overview and Session Details sheets.
The same and additional Session related information is generated in in the Sessions Monitoring app such as in the Session Heatmap Sheet.
Now reload Tasks statistics is another key activity to keep track of, and equivalent information in Qlik Sense can be found in the Operations Monitor app under the Task sheets... as well as in the Reloads Monitor app.
File sizes, number of objects, and other app details can be found in the Operations Monitor App under the Apps sheet, as well as in the App Metadata Analyzer App.
Other Monitoring Apps that may contain similar information as what is found in the Governance Dashboard include Log Monitoring, Connector Logs Analyzer, Sense System Performance Analyzer, and License Monitor.
Thanks for Watching!
