How to upgrade the Qlik SAP connector

For general installation instructions and backwards compatibility information, see SAP Connector installation.

Qlik SAP Connector versions 8.0.1 or earlier include the SAP libraries.

Qlik SAP Connector versions 8.0.2 and later do not include the SAP libraries. You can download the SAP libraries from the SAP support download portal in accordance with SAP regulations after the upgrade of the Connector was performed. The Connector can be upgraded without issues first.

Does this impact any of the apps that are using the SAP connector? (i.e. will the connection string need to be updated in the load editor, or anything like that?)

@Brysonds Existing apps will not be affected. The connection strings remain the same.

Hi Sonja, Thank you for the instructions, I've followed these steps and the Connectors are still not appearing in the list. Are there any other troubleshooting steps that I can do?

Thanks

Rakesh

Thanks this post.

I think,

4. Choose option 3 to uninstall the Qlik SAP Network Service.

is wrong.

It should be,

"4. Choose option 5 to uninstall the Qlik SAP Network Service. "

FYI.

Thank you for your input, @Ciri

I have removed the numbered option to make sure we are compatible with any changes in the GUI and instead focused on what the option would be called.

All the best,
Sonja
