Out of the box, Qlik Sense for Windows will use Windows authentication. The underlying Windows environment will determine how many login attempts will be allowed and can be configured to lock accounts that attempt too many wrong logins. The feature itself is not built into Qlik Sense.
For SAML or OpenID Connect (OIDC) authentication, this will be set directly in the Identity Provider.
Multi-Factor
The following options are available for Qlik Sense to make use of multi-factor authentication:
For Qlik Sense for Windows, use SAML or OIDC authentication and set up those on the Identity Provider side.
For Qlik Cloud with BYOIDP (Bring your own Identity Provider), use OIDC authentication and do those setups on the Identity Provider side.
