In certain scenarios, it is necessary to create additional Windows local accounts for Qlik Replicate and Qlik Enterprise Manager to provide a user the minimum required access level.
This article outlines the steps to add a Windows local account in the built-in Guests group.
Resolution
From the Windows start menu, open compmgmt.msc
Expand Computer Management > System Tools > Local Users and Groups
Right-click Users, then select New User from the context menu
Create a new local account, entering a usernameand password
Right-click on the new user account and select Properties
Open the Member Of tab
Remove the default Users group
Click Add and type Guests in the text field
Click Check Names and then OK
Open the Qlik Enterprise Manager (QEM) console and log in with an Admin account (has the admin role)
Add the new Windows local user account to the QEM user list. The new user can be assigned any QEM permissions, such as the Admin, Viewer or other roles.
