After enabling the SAML configuration (propertie authentication.mode=SAML) on Qlik Catalog, the following error is shown:

HTTP Status 404 – Not Found

Resolution

According to the Qlik Catalog documentation, the saml.metadata.provider should be in this format: saml.metadata.provider=https://Virtual-hotst/app/app-id/sso/saml/metadata

Example:

If the virtual host is trial-3238000.okta.com and the app id is exk50vgr3hxd2hNqF600, a combination of both will be: https://trial-3238000.okta.com/app/exk50vgr3hxd2hNqF600/sso/saml/metadata

Modify the core.environment properties file following this example: saml.metadata.provider=https://trial-3238000.okta.com/app/exk50vgr3hxd2hNqF600/sso/saml/metadata

Cause

Qlik Catalog is unable to read an invalid xml https link.

Environment
