A DB2 zOS connection fails with:

SYS-E-HTTPFAIL, Cannot connect to DB2 zOS Server.

SYS,GENERAL_EXCEPTION,Cannot connect to DB2 zOS Server,RetCode: SQL_ERROR SqlState: 08001 NativeError: -99999 Message: [IBM][CLI Driver] CLI0199E Invalid connection string attribute. SQLSTATE=08001

Resolution:

  1. Update db2dsdriver.cfg is located in the <DB2 installation directory>/cfg directory

Update the database connection correctly and save them.

odbcinst.ini is located in the /etc directory on Linux or the %SystemRoot%\system32 directory on Windows.

Locate the corresponding DB2 ODBC driver and validate the driver's library path.

Note: When opening the files to make changes, make sure you have opened them with administrative privileges.

  2.  Restart the Qlik Replicate services

  3.  You can reach out to your system administrator to change the SECPORT which is located in the configuration files in the mainframe environment. Please update the correct SECPORT.
