Qlik does not have a list of supported 3rd party backup devices that Qlik Replicate is able to read. Generally, any 3rd party backup devices that use the TRN format will not have issues with the task reading from them. 3rd party backup device support can be turned on from the SQL Server source endpoint in the advanced tab by checking 'Select virtual backup device types'

Unsupported 3rd party backup devices will lead to errors reading from the backup files like the following error message where IDERA SQL SAFE is not supported.

Failure in resolving stream position by TIMESTAMP
RetCode: SQL_ERROR SqlState: 42000 NativeError: 3241 Message: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver 18 for SQL Server][SQL Server]The media family on device '\\sqlbackup.domain.com\sqldatabackup\MKTMPRLAWSQL01\PROD\MKTMPRLAWSQL01_PROD_Log_202405092000.safe' is incorrectly formed.
