Qlik Replicate fails to connect to Snowflake target with password not found error

Connecting to a Snowflake Target endpoint while using a password using special characters, such as  ( {},\,& ), fails with the error:

SYS,GENERAL_EXCEPTION,Cannot connect to Cloud server,RetCode: SQL_ERROR SqlState: 28000 NativeError: 31 Message: [Snowflake][Snowflake] (31) Password not found.

Affected Versions

  • Qlik Replicate 2024.5
  • Qlik Replicate 2024.11

Resolution

This is a known defect in Qlik Replicate starting with version 2024.5. Qlik is actively working on publishing a fix in upcoming service releases.

 

Workaround:

As a workaround, change the Snowflake endpoint password to only use alphanumeric values. 

Fix Version:

Upcoming service releases for Qlik Replicate, such as 2024.5 SP3 and 2024.11 SP1. Review the release notes for information on RECOB-9279.
