The settings Maximum Inactive Session Time does not work as expected. Sessions are not terminated at the set time.

The setting can be accessed from the QlikView Management Console:

  1. Open System
  2. Open Setup
  3. Open the QlikView Server instance
  4. Open the Performance tab

See QMC System Setup QlikViewServer Performance for more information.

When this setting is applied, sessions should be closed with this log message in the QlikView Server Session log:

Session expired after idle time

However, this setting doesn't work if an SLK is applied to the QVS.

Resolution

Upgrade QlikView to May 2024 (12.90) or higher.

Workaround:

Close each session manually.

Fix Version:

QlikView May 2024 (12.90)

Cause

"Maximum Inactive Session Time" functionality is not implemented until QVS May 2023 (12.80) for SLK licenses.
